Panamorph Alpha Pro – Universal Anamorphic Projector Lens
The Alpha Pro is Panamorph's flagship anamorphic lens for the largest projector beam sizes. It is available in either the CDR (Consumer Display Resolution – 3840×2160) or DCR (Digital Cinema Resolution – 4096×2160) versions. Very simply, those with 16:9 projectors should choose the Alpha Pro CDR, while those with 17:9 projectors should choose the Alpha Pro DCR. Due to Alpha Pro's design and size, it is designed to work as a universal fit lens, compatible with just about every anamorphic compatible projector (previous, current, and yet to be produced models). This is due to its design in mounting separate and in front of the projector as opposed to direct attachment to the projector (with or without a mounting plate) as is was the case with its predecessors.
Why Do I Need This?
Panamorph's 8K rated anamorphic conversion lenses work in conjunction with the internal anamorphic modes of modern home theater projectors to provide up to a 30% increase in brightness levels on screen by recapturing millions of what would otherwise be unused black bar pixels, inserting them on to the projected image, all while maintaining video fidelity of the original source. The bottom line is this: running without an anamorphic lens results in NOT using the full pixel capability of your projector.

- Alpha Pro CDR expands the image by 10% while DCR expands by 7%. Remember to factor in this expansion during projector throw ratio analysis by dividing the native throw ratio of the projector by 1.1 or 1.07 respectively for the full range of throw ratios in your theater.
- Alpha Pro DCR/CDR accepts a beam up to 75mm W x 50mm H, both measured with the projector zoom at a 1.4:1 throw ratio.
- Recommended throw distance between 12 and 35 feet, while optional extra components can modify the Alpha Pro for optimum performance at 35, 50, 80, 120 and 150 feet (sold separately).
- Optional add-on corrector provides for optimum performance at longer throw distances for commercial applications (coming fall 2025).
- Supports projectors rated to 30,000 lumens.
