Panamorph CDRG2 + XM3 – Anamorphic Projector Lens System
Leveraging our award winning CDR optics, our G2 (second generation) lens system is now packaged with the XM3 universal attachment kit for ceiling or shelf-mounting compatible projectors. Note that like the previous CDR lenses, these models do not change the width of the image – only the height – as they convert the full native resolution of the projector to the 2.4:1 cinema format with millions of more pixels for higher brightness and detail.
Why Do I Need This?
Panamorph's 8K rated anamorphic conversion lenses work in conjunction with the internal anamorphic modes of modern home theater projectors to provide up to a 30% increase in brightness levels on screen by recapturing millions of what would otherwise be unused black bar pixels, inserting them on to the projected image, all while maintaining video fidelity of the original source. The bottom line is this: running without an anamorphic lens results in NOT using the full pixel capability of your projector.

- CDR-G2 lenses optimized for use of 16:9 display panels or the 16:9 portion of 17:9 display panels in most projectors having anamorphic modes.
- CDR G2 applies a higher magnification, so an additional amount of barrel distortion should be expected (although Epson has the “point correction” feature to mitigate this.
