Highlights & Key Technologies
Stethoset Design & Comfort
Unlike traditional over-ear headphones, the RR 2000 stethoset receiver hangs freely from your ears and rests lightly on your chest, putting no pressure on ears or temples even during long listening sessions. This design is especially appreciated by glasses wearers, as the eyeglasses-compatible design allows you to wear your glasses comfortably without painful pressure marks. The ear pads do not fully cover your ear canals, allowing ambient sound to pass through so you are not acoustically isolated from your environment — you can still hear doorbells, phone calls, and conversations around you. The ear pads are available in different sizes and materials from your Sennheiser partner, and are replaceable by carefully detaching them from the receiver. They can be cleaned under lukewarm running water and must air dry for at least 12 hours before reuse. When putting the stethoset receiver on, observe the L (left) and R (right) markings on the rear of the ear bows, and position the ear pads just in front of your ear canals for optimal sound.
Battery & Charging
The RR 2000 stethoset receiver features a built-in BAP 800 lithium polymer rechargeable battery (3.7 V, 350 mAh) providing up to 9 hours of operating time. A complete charging cycle takes about 3 hours. Before first use, charge the rechargeable battery for a complete charging cycle without interruption. Simply place the stethoset receiver into the transmitter's charging compartment with the volume buttons facing upwards — the receiver is magnetically oriented to the correct position and automatically switches off to begin charging. The Charge status LED on the transmitter lights up red during charging and goes off when the battery is fully charged. If the Charge status LED flashes red, a charging error/battery error has occurred. The built-in rechargeable battery must not be replaced or removed by the user; if the operating time decreases drastically, have the battery replaced by an authorized Sonova Consumer Hearing partner. An optional MCA 800 charging adapter is available for charging the stethoset receiver independently of the transmitter — you can also use the receiver during charging with the MCA 800. Always store the stethoset receiver in the transmitter's charging compartment when not in use to ensure it is fully charged when needed. The intelligent battery charging technology prevents overcharging.
Volume, Balance & Controls
The RR 2000 stethoset receiver features Volume + and Volume – buttons for adjusting the overall volume. Separate Balance buttons on the right and left side of the receiver allow independent left/right volume adjustment, so you can adjust the balance to hear equally well with both ears. To reset the balance to the middle setting, simultaneously press both Balance buttons. The ear bows feature an intuitive on/off mechanism: pulling the ear bows apart automatically switches the receiver on, and folding them together switches it off after 3 seconds. When no stethoset receiver is connected, the transmitter automatically enters standby mode.
