Wireless Freedom
The RR Flex operates on the digital 2.4 GHz RF band, providing wireless reception from the TR 5000 transmitter at a range of up to 100 feet (approximately 30 meters). This allows listeners to move freely around the house while continuing to hear TV audio clearly. The system uses digital RF rather than Bluetooth, ensuring minimal latency for lip-sync accuracy.

Headphone & Hearing Aid Compatibility
The receiver features a 3.5 mm stereo jack output that accepts any wired headphones or earbuds with a minimum impedance of 16 Ω. The output can also be used with an induction loop (such as the Sennheiser EZT 3012, sold separately) for use with hearing aids that have a t-coil. Output power is 900 mV.

Speech Intelligibility
The RR Flex features a dedicated Speech Intelligibility button that reduces background music and sound effects to make dialogue easier to understand. Press and release to activate; press again to deactivate. This function is particularly useful for viewers who find that excessive background audio makes it difficult to follow dialogue.

Battery & Charging
The receiver features a built-in lithium-ion polymer (LiPo) rechargeable battery rated at 3.7 V, 350 mAh. Operating time is up to 12 hours on a full charge, with a full recharge time of approximately 3 hours. A fast charge option provides 2 hours of operating time from just 30 minutes of charging. The receiver charges by placing it on the Flex 5000 transmitter charging dock. An adapter mini charger (MCA 800) is also included for independent charging.

Design & Controls
The RR Flex is a compact, lightweight clip-on receiver weighing 33 g, easily clipping to clothing, sitting in a pocket, or resting in your lap. The two raised areas on the front serve as volume controls. Press and hold the top button to power on (indicated by a green LED); press and release to increase volume. A dedicated side button activates the Speech Intelligibility function. Press and hold to power off.
