The reference-quality Pi8 redefines the earbud category, with a no-holds-barred specification that sets a new benchmark for engineering excellence. A high-performance DSP with a dedicated DSP and amplifier/DAC, a true 24-bit audio connection, and a 5-band customisable EQ with TrueSound™ mode — which bypasses any tonal customisation to deliver the audio as the artist and Bowers & Wilkins intended — combine to deliver the highest-quality listening experience.

Carbon Cone Drive Units
Each earbud uses a 12mm Carbon Cone drive unit. Reduced distortion and improved high-frequency detail capture nuances in your music that other headphone drive units miss, delivering reference-grade clarity in a true wireless form factor.

Active Noise Cancellation & Pass-Through
Pi8 features an advanced Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) mode that automatically adapts to your surroundings, using built-in microphones to pick up and cancel out ambient sound while maintaining optimum sound quality. An ambient Pass-Through mode allows external sounds, such as conversations or safety announcements, to be heard clearly without removing the earbuds. Noise cancellation requires a good seal between the earbuds and your ear canal for optimal performance.

Work, Stream, Call
Three microphones per earbud ensure uninterrupted sound and call performance no matter where you are, working together to provide excellent call quality across a range of wearing positions. For optimum call quality the Bowers & Wilkins logo on each earbud should be aligned with your mouth.

Enhanced Wear Sensing
Pi8 incorporates enhanced wear detection sensors in both earbuds, pausing audio when an earbud is removed and resuming automatically when replaced. The sensors also enable intelligent battery conservation by entering a power-saving mode when the earbuds are removed and left out of the charging case. Wear sensing can be enabled, disabled and customised via the Bowers & Wilkins Music app.

Smart Charging Case & Retransmission
Pi8 offers 6.5 hours of earbud life plus fast charging and additional battery life from the charging case, for up to 20 hours of total wireless playback. The smart charging case supports both wireless and USB-C charging, and its retransmission feature lets you connect Pi8 directly to a favourite audio source: connect an analogue 3.5mm or USB-C source to the case and it wirelessly retransmits that audio to the earbuds via aptX™ Adaptive. The case will only transmit audio from the analogue/USB source; earbud microphone signals are not transmitted back to the case.

Multipoint Connectivity
Pi8 supports Bluetooth multipoint and can be connected to two devices simultaneously, automatically switching playback between them and routing incoming calls to the earbuds. Pi8 also carries Apple MFi Made for iPhone support.

Premium Design, Perfect Fit
Pi8’s highly considered industrial design combines premium materials, an ergonomic form factor and four ear tip sizes (extra small, small, medium and large) to ensure a comfortable, well-sealed listen for every user. An IP54 rating provides dust and water resistance for the earbuds.

Direct Streaming & Complete Control
The Bowers & Wilkins Music app provides industry-first headphone music streaming, plus simple setup and control that makes Pi8 smart, intuitive and easy to use — including environmental controls, advanced EQ, connection management and software updates.
