Form At Wood Decorative Mapao Collection: Take (LM02) – Wooden Decorative Panel
Audio Experience is offering these non acoustically effective decorative wooden panels because there are installations where the design language must remain consistent, but using exclusively acoustic panels would be inadvisable from an acoustic treatment standpoint. These decorative panels solve for this to ensure synergy in the design aesthetic, while also allowing for implementation of the HEXAGO acoustic panels as much as is required to ensure the room is treated properly for optimal sound performance. Shipping is a fixed all-in rate of $299 per m² (freight + import duties + customs processing; no post-delivery charges). Minimum order: 4 m². Orders are non-cancellable once production begins and non-refundable except for transit damage or defect; damage must be reported within 48 hours with photos.
Highlights & Key Technologies
The Poetry of the Concave
TAKE is a tribute to the quiet power of a wave. Its strength and soul lie in the concave form — soft, flowing, and ever-changing with light — a geometry that captures light and lets it travel across the grain, breathing life into the surface through subtle motion and atmospheric depth. You decide its current: with four panel lengths, you shape the flow of your interior, from calm uniformity to dynamic intersecting waves — used in long horizontal runs to stretch the wall, or vertically to build a calmer, architectural pulse. Concave curves play with light and shadow, making the wall feel alive, in solid, authentic material of timeless craftsmanship and nature’s honesty.
Where TAKE Tells Its Best Story
In hotel lobbies, spas, and exclusive restaurants, it creates an oasis of calm and understated elegance. In hotel rooms, it becomes a serene headboard. At home, it brings harmony to the living room or deepens the sense of sanctuary in a bedroom. In offices, it reflects balance and creative flow. It works alone or combined with other Mapao textures for a symphony of forms — modular serenity.
The MAPAO Collection
The MAPAO collection is the outcome of FORM AT WOOD’s partnership with the French design studio SamplesRoom, headed by Thomas Tutolo — a design enthusiast and wood lover known for his expertise in finding, developing, and launching products that seamlessly fit current design trends. MAPAO is a modular toolkit built from four distinct wooden profiles, each with its own visual signature; with a uniform cross-section and varying lengths, it lets you compose bespoke rhythmic installations with architectural clarity. The true essence of MAPAO lies in its absolute modularity: designed to flow seamlessly in both horizontal and vertical orientations, the system invites you to break the monotony of flat surfaces, allowing the creation of intricate, multi-dimensional patterns that play with light and shadow — a wall that is as much a piece of art as it is a structural element. Mounting is via mounting adhesive. To master the natural tension of timber, the solid wood surface is fused with a high-density plywood core, keeping the panel structurally stable and perfectly flat, with digital CNC accuracy merged with manual artisanal finishing and hand polishing.
Wood Species & Tailored Finish
Available in European oak, American walnut, and ash, sourced exclusively from strictly managed, sustainable forests with every plank traceable to its source. Oak’s rich tannin content grants total mastery over color, with an essential palette of six stains: Snow White (C01), Silky Gray (C02), Black (C03), Natural (C04), Dark Brown (C05), and Nordic Raw (C06). A bespoke finishing service can match a supplied oil specification or physical flooring sample; raw, precision-sanded panels are available for on-site finishing workflows; and a varnishing service offers any shade from the RAL/NCS libraries. Due to the organic nature of timber, natural variations in grain, texture, and color are inherent characteristics and are not considered defects.
