Plays Well With Others
The R-40PM powered speakers allow you to connect and play music via multiple sources: Bluetooth® for music streaming, turntables using its integrated phono pre-amp (with ground screw terminal), plus standard digital optical, analog RCA and USB inputs, the R-40PM connects easily to all your favorite devices.
Bass and More Bass
The R-40PMs feature a small but mighty cabinet that can produce bass as deep as 60Hz thanks to bass-reflex rear-firing ports. Expertly engineered with extra cabinet depth, you’ll experience warmer, more impactful sound without connecting to a sub, but we’ve included an RCA line level output on the R-40PMs so you can add a subwoofer to your stereo system to enhance low frequencies even further.
Upgraded 90° X 90° Horn
A new, larger, edge-to-edge proprietary Tractrix® horn allows for directivity control over a larger bandwidth of frequencies and provides improved coverage, resulting in a more accurate sound stage. Our exclusive Tractrix® horn technology delivers the power, detail and emotion of the live music experience with the cleanest, most natural sound possible.
Linear Travel Suspension (LTS) Aluminium Tweeter
A hallmark of Klipsch speakers, the exclusive 1" LTS with Kapton Suspension tweeter minimizes distortion for enhanced, detailed performances. Aluminum is an extremely light and rigid material used in the tweeter assembly to provide high efficiency and improve resolution and detail.
Reimagined Woofer Design
New woofers made of Spun-Copper Thermoformed Crystal Polymer minimizes resonance for more true-to-life sound and leverage trickle-down technology from Klipsch's highly acclaimed Reference Premiere series. The TCP woofers have steeper angling of the cones for a smoother response at higher frequencies and feature better crossover integration for improved accuracy and transparency. The additional ribbing increasesthe overall rigidity for less cone breakup at higher frequencies.
Enhanced Cabinet Design and Appearance
Refereence cabinets feature a reinforced 3/4” MDF construction with an all-new bracing design which reduces cabinet vibration for less audible coloration and improved sonic accuracy. A luxury black scratch-resistant, textured wood grain vinyl finish allows it to fit right into your home décor. Hidden fasteners and low-profile magnetic grilles give the speakers a polished, modern appearance and allow for frustration-free setup and integration. Lastly, the Klipsch logo is now a black background with copper text, returning to our “Happiness is Copper and Black” roots.
