Subwoofer Integration with 80 Hz High-Pass Filter
A dedicated subwoofer output with selectable fixed 80 Hz high-pass filter enables flexible 2.1 system configuration. With the high-pass filter ON, the main speakers play only frequencies above 80 Hz while a full-range output signal is sent to the subwoofer — ideal when paired with smaller main speakers not designed for deep bass. With the filter OFF, a full-range signal is sent to both the main speakers and the subwoofer, suiting full-range main speakers for a richer bass blend.

Phono, Headphone and VU Meter Functionality
A dedicated Moving Magnet (MM) phono input accepts a turntable connection, with a separate ground terminal provided for the turntable's earth lead. A 1/4" stereo headphone jack on the front panel works with conventional headphones of any impedance; inserting a headphone plug automatically disables output to the speakers and subwoofer, while volume, tone, and balance controls remain operative for headphone listening. The pair of illuminated NAD VU meters monitor either the Input Signal level or the Speaker Output level, calibrated in Watts and dB referenced to an 8-ohm load, with the display mode selected via a rear-panel VU METER switch.

Auto Sense, Auto Standby and Source Volume Control
Auto Sense (factory enabled) wakes the C 3030 from standby when triggered by an active digital or analog audio source, automatically switching to the source with active audio input. Auto Standby (factory enabled) conforms to European ecodesign regulations, automatically entering standby after 15 minutes of no user interface activity or no audio detected from the current source. Source Volume Control Level (factory disabled) determines whether each source maintains its own independent volume setting (preserved through power cycles) or whether all sources share a single common volume level. Bluetooth Auto Reconnect (factory disabled) automatically reconnects the previously paired Bluetooth device when the unit is powered back on.

Front-Panel Tone, Balance and Volume Controls
Bass and Treble controls fine-tune tonal balance, with a 12 o'clock detent indicating the "flat" position with no boost or cut. The Balance control adjusts the relative level of the left and right speakers, also detented at 12 o'clock. The Volume control is characterized by perfect signal tracking and channel balance for highly linear, low-noise operation; a series of LEDs lights up sequentially with volume level, with a single amber LED indicating minimum volume.
