The D8is calls upon all of Perlisten's work over the past decade to create yet another level of fidelity. Push-pull, for the ultimate in linearity, dynamics, and power at the lowest levels of distortion. Utilizing a unique array of eight 215mm (8.5") drivers, the new woofer array accomplishes mechanical force cancelling — with each side of the woofer array acoustically in phase and mechanically out of phase, the force of each driver's motion cancels the force of its opposing complement. This results in a dramatic reduction of cabinet vibrations at all frequencies. A proprietary, versatile vibration isolation mounting solution supports in-room, in-wall, and on-wall applications, as well as creating a superb solution for waveforming. Driven by the DSP3000A 3kW amplifier with custom DSP and a digital input, housed in a hybrid aluminum/steel chassis with a front-facing 2.8" color touchscreen, the amplifier can be conveniently located on display in-room or hidden away in a separate room with other rack mounted components. Grills are optional.

Push-Pull Force-Cancelling Driver Array
The D8is utilizes a unique array of eight 215mm (8.5") carbon fiber diaphragm drivers (per datasheet and product page spec table; product page description text references 203mm glass fibre cone drivers) in a push-pull force-cancelling configuration. With each side of the array acoustically in phase and mechanically out of phase, the force of each driver's motion cancels the force of its opposing complement, resulting in a dramatic reduction of cabinet vibrations at all frequencies. Each driver delivers ±18.0mm linear excursion.

DSP3000A Amplifier & Control
The D8is is driven by Perlisten's DSP3000A 3000W RMS amplifier with custom DSP, now with the addition of a digital input. Housed in a hybrid aluminum/steel chassis with a front-facing 2.8" LCD color touchscreen, the amplifier can be located on display in-room or hidden in a separate room with other rack-mounted components. Rack ears are included for mounting in a standard 19" equipment rack. All functions and safeties are controlled by a Ti DSP with 48-bit data paths and a 32-bit ARM Cortex M4 processor with double precision floating point math. The app (iOS and Android) provides an advanced user interface for customizable turn-on controls, input selection, and multiple PEQ presets. A 10-Band PEQ with 3 user presets is included. Low pass filter is configurable from bypass to 30–160Hz with slopes of 6, 12, 18, or 24dB/oct. Phase is variable from 0–270°. Polarity is switchable between normal and inverted. Configurable auto turn-on and 12V trigger is available via XLR and RCA.

Versatile Vibration Isolation Mounting
The D8is incorporates a proprietary, versatile vibration isolation mounting solution supporting freestanding (in-room), on-wall, and in-wall installations, as well as waveforming applications. The full-aluminum extruded enclosure features aluminum covers on two places. An optional base is available for freestanding deployment.

Inputs consist of one balanced XLR and one unbalanced RCA connection. Outputs consist of one balanced XLR unbuffered, one unbalanced RCA unbuffered, and one Digital AES/2 connection.
