Trickle-down technology from the flagship D-Series, the R18s is part of Perlisten's lineup of single-driver subwoofers. Ground-up drivers developed by Perlisten's engineers feature glass fiber composite diaphragms, multiple aluminum shorting rings, massive magnets, multi-layer Nomex spiders, and lightweight aluminum voice coil wire. Proprietary nonlinear modeling techniques allow simulation and optimization for real-world driver performance — both free air and in-box — with further refinement via Klippel laser measurements. Powered by the 1.0kW amplifier with 48-bit DSP and 32-bit ARM M4 Cortex processor, able to react in microseconds ensuring sonic accuracy. Features a 2.4" LCD touchscreen display shared across all R-Series subs and full app control. Grills are optional.

Driver & Engineering
The R18s driver features a 460mm glass fiber composite diaphragm with ±23.7mm linear excursion. Key engineering ingredients include multiple aluminum shorting rings, massive magnets, multi-layer Nomex spiders, and lightweight aluminum voice coil wire. Proprietary nonlinear modeling techniques allow Perlisten to simulate all components and optimize for real-world driver performance — both free air and in-box — with further refinement via Klippel laser measurements. This is trickle-down technology from the flagship D-Series.

Amplifier, DSP & Control
The R18s is powered by Perlisten's 1.0kW RMS amplifier. All functions and safeties are controlled by a Ti DSP with 48-bit data paths and a 32-bit ARM Cortex M4 processor with double precision floating point math, able to react in microseconds ensuring sonic accuracy. A 2.4" LCD color touchscreen display is shared across all R-Series subs. The app (iOS and Android) provides an advanced user interface for customizable turn-on controls, input selection, and multiple PEQ presets. A 10-Band PEQ with 3 user presets is included. Low pass filter is configurable from bypass to 30–160Hz with slopes of 6, 12, 18, or 24dB/oct. Phase is variable from 0–270°. Polarity is switchable between normal and inverted. Configurable auto turn-on and 12V trigger is available via XLR and RCA.

Inputs & Outputs
Inputs consist of one balanced XLR and one unbalanced RCA connection. Outputs consist of one balanced XLR unbuffered and one unbalanced RCA unbuffered connection.
