Designed to be mounted on an optional stand or mounted to a wall with an optional tilt swivel bracket. Sharing trickle-down technology from the flagship S-Series, the DPC-Array — here based on three 26mm silk domes — guarantees excellent directivity control and timbre matching with all R-Series speakers. The silk diaphragms were developed ground up, chosen specifically for their smooth, effortless representation of midrange and treble. The 165mm woofers are made from Perlisten's proprietary HPF pulp, two years in development, bringing new technology to one of the oldest materials used in loudspeaker design. The R5m can be aligned as bass reflex or acoustic suspension depending on specific tastes, offering enough bass extension for an amazing 2-channel experience, the heart of a reference level 2.1 system, LCR duties in a home theater, or surrounds in a larger R-Series system.

DPC-Array & Directivity Pattern Control
At the heart of the R5m's mid and treble performance is the DPC-Array — a directivity pattern control system based on three 26mm silk dome drivers. Sharing trickle-down technology from the flagship S-Series, this array guarantees excellent directivity control and timbre matching with all R-Series speakers. The silk diaphragms were developed ground up, chosen specifically for their smooth, effortless representation of midrange and treble. The DPC-Array patent is USA patent pending.

HPF Woofers
The R5m employs two 165mm woofers made from Perlisten's proprietary HPF (Hybrid Pulp Formulation) — a material two years in development combining long fiber hardwood, bamboo, and wool. This brings new technology to one of the oldest materials used in loudspeaker design, delivering rich, dynamic bass matched with advanced mid/treble directivity pattern control.

Enclosure Alignment & Versatility
The R5m can be aligned as either bass reflex or acoustic suspension depending on specific tastes. In bass reflex alignment, frequency response extends to 40Hz (-10dB) with typical in-room bass extension reaching 37Hz. In acoustic suspension alignment, frequency response extends to 47Hz (-10dB) with typical in-room bass extension of 43Hz. This versatility makes the R5m equally suited as a standalone 2-channel speaker, the LCR of a home theater system, or surround channels in a larger R-Series system.

Mounting Options
The R5m is designed to be mounted on an optional stand or mounted to a wall using an optional tilt swivel bracket. The cabinet features M6 x 1mm thread wall mount points with a vertical hole spacing of 2-3/8" (60.0mm) and horizontal hole spacing of 1-3/8" (35.0mm).
