Designed to deliver reference-level performance worthy of the flagship R-Series, the R7i-C is the in-wall center channel counterpart to the R7i-LR, based largely on the R7t and adapted for in-wall applications. The R7i-C features the renowned DPC-Array and long-excursion woofers for astonishingly low distortion and controlled directivity down to 500Hz, delivering the critical tonal balance and clarity required at the center channel. A shallow 4" mounting depth and integral aluminum extrusion rear enclosure ensure consistent performance and minimal sound propagation to adjacent rooms. Sharing trickle-down technology from the flagship S-Series, the DPC-Array — here based on three 26mm silk domes — guarantees excellent directivity control and timbre matching with all R-Series speakers. The silk diaphragms were developed ground up, chosen specifically for their smooth, effortless representation of midrange and treble. The 165mm woofers are made from Perlisten's proprietary HPF pulp, two years in development, bringing new technology to one of the oldest materials used in loudspeaker design. All R-Series speakers share the same DPC-Array and benefit from Perlisten's unique timbre matching technique across the entire series.

DPC-Array & Directivity Pattern Control
The R7i-C features Perlisten's proprietary DPC-Array, which controls mid-to-high frequencies using three 26mm silk dome tweeters, ensuring excellent directivity control and timbre matching with all R-Series speakers, with controlled directivity down to 500Hz. All transducers are developed from the ground up by Perlisten's engineers, leveraging decades of research. Utilizing advanced COMSOL acoustic modeling, the DPC-Array is the result of 18 months of painstaking simulations and prototyping, developed in collaboration with companies in the USA and Sweden to bring modern material science to hi-fi. This tweeter/waveguide DPC-Array delivers exceptional accuracy, smoothness, and directivity control, enabling it to handle the critical vocal range and delicate treble with precision. All R-Series speakers share the same DPC-Array and benefit from Perlisten's unique timbre matching technique across the entire series. The DPC-Array is protected under U.S. Patent No. 12,047,738 B1.

HPF Woofers
The R7i-C employs four 165mm woofers made from Perlisten's proprietary HPF (Hybrid Pulp Formulation) — a material combining long fiber hardwood, bamboo, and wool — used for predictable low-frequency performance, making them ideally suited for multi-channel systems.

In-Wall Enclosure & Installation
Based largely on the R7t and adapted for in-wall center channel applications, the R7i-C features a shallow 4" mounting depth and an integral aluminum extrusion rear enclosure that ensures consistent performance and minimal sound propagation to adjacent rooms. The R7i-C can be utilized as a center channel with an acoustically transparent screen. Dog leg mounting thickness ranges from a minimum of 0.437" (11.0mm) to a maximum of 1.750" (44.4mm).
