21" Carbon Fiber Cone Driver
The 21-MP is built around a single 21" (533.4mm) carbon fiber cone woofer with a stacked neodymium multi-cylinder motor structure and long throw suspension. The proprietary driver was co-engineered by RBH Sound and Pierce Audio, a privately held company that has built precision subwoofer and speaker drivers by hand in the Pacific Northwest since 2004. This low-distortion design, made exclusively for RBH, features a carbon fiber cone, shorting cap, copper sleeve, and custom machine work, and is housed in a heavy duty cast aluminum basket. The driver delivers clear, clean, and quick bass output that is surprisingly articulate for such a large woofer, owed to the extremely rigid and very light carbon fiber cone sealed with a gloss acrylic coating.

Sealed HDF Cabinet & Flexible Placement
The driver is housed in a sealed, thick HDF (High Density Fiberboard) cabinet manufactured in the USA. The relatively compact cabinet size makes the 21-MP a performance-elevating addition that fits where a full-sized 21" subwoofer cannot, giving infrasonic capability without a humongous footprint. It is well suited to placement behind acoustically transparent screens and to whole-house installations.

DA-2602DSP Amplifier
The included DA-2602DSP is a 2-channel high efficiency Class D amplifier with a 24-bit/96kHz DSP module, pre-programmed to optimize RBH subwoofer performance, with software available to download for onsite DSP customization. Each channel produces 1,300 watts at 8Ω and 2,600 watts at 4Ω, with a bridged output of 2,600 watts at 8Ω. The 21-MP is rated for up to 4000 watts via the DA-2602DSP in bridged mode. Output circuitry is Class D with a frequency response of 10Hz–1kHz (±0.5dB) with variable Low & High Pass Filters, THD of ≤0.05% (1/8 RMS, 1kHz), and a damping factor of ≥300. The amplifier is housed in a 2U rackmount chassis and ships with rack mount ears and a SpeakOn AC cord.

DSP, Inputs & Protection
The DA-2602DSP provides 30-band parametric EQ, 0 and 180 degree phase control with adjustable delay in software, and customizable low pass crossover and slope. Inputs are XLR (RCA with included adapter) with a balanced input impedance of 20K Ohms; outputs are binding post and SpeakOn. A comprehensive protection suite includes DC protection, under voltage protection, smart overheat management, soft startup protection, output overload protection, and DSP-adjustable input/output limiters. Cooling is handled by low noise, variable speed fans venting front to rear. Six DSP modes are available, including LFE (full range), SUB (80 Hz low pass), MAX SPL, MAX EXT, and custom EQ settings configured through the computer software.

The 21-MP provides timbre matched options for multi-channel sound across most freestanding, bookshelf, on-wall, and in-wall products in the RBH Sound family.
