As a stereo pair, the 661-SF/R delivers a musical experience as the recording artist originally intended. For home theater, the 661-SF/R's dual 6½-inch reference aluminum cone woofers and AMT tweeter deliver crystal-clear dialog and vibrant sound effects with superb clarity and acoustic performance. These reference drivers provide extended frequency response, greater power handling, and improved dynamic range. The 661-SF/R is versatile enough to be used for nearly any main or effect channel in a multi-channel surround sound system.

RBH Sound Reference Driver Package
The 661-SF/R upgrades the 661-SF by replacing the signature drivers with the RBH Sound Reference Driver package. This upgrade includes the RBH Reference AMT tweeter — measuring 1.38" x 1" (35mm x 25mm) — and dual RBH Reference 6½-inch cast aluminum basket aluminum cone woofers with solid aluminum phase plugs, available in silver or black-anodized. An enhanced crossover circuit is also included. Together, these reference drivers provide extended frequency response, greater power handling, and improved dynamic range relative to the standard 661-SF.

MTM Configuration & Versatility
The 661-SF/R features a mid-tweeter-mid (MTM) configuration combining dual 6½-inch reference aluminum cone woofers with a centrally positioned AMT tweeter with tweeter protection. The two-way crossover is set at 2700 Hz with a 24 dB/Octave slope. This configuration sets the standard for home theater sound, combining the power of multiple drivers for greater dynamic response and directivity. The 661-SF/R is versatile enough to serve as left and right main channels, a center channel, or surround channels in a multi-channel surround sound system.

Vented HDF Cabinet
The 661-SF/R cabinet is constructed from ¾-inch High Density Fiberboard (HDF) with heavy internal bracing, individually hand assembled and tested in the USA, and is available in satin black or white. The cabinet features dual rear ports. A magnetically attached white or black high quality fabric grille with a ½" MDF frame is included.
