Award-Winning Infrasonic Performance

21″ Sandwiched Carbon Fiber Cone Driver
The 21″ (533mm) proprietary driver was co-engineered by RBH Sound and Pierce Audio. This groundbreaking, low-distortion design, made exclusively for RBH, features a sandwiched carbon fiber cone, shorting cap, copper sleeve, and custom machine work, with stacked neodymium magnet cylinders in the motor structure for unbelievable low-frequency output. Pierce Audio has built precision subwoofer and speaker drivers by hand in the Pacific Northwest since 2004.

G.A.D.S. (Granular Acoustic Damping System)
The patent-pending Granular Acoustic Damping System is employed in this sealed design to keep the cabinet stable under the load of a high-powered driver. It provides mass-loading effects that improve the rigidity of the cabinet and serves as an excellent acoustic absorber at the lowest frequencies. Although the granular particulates occupy a significant amount of space within the enclosure, their impact on the total internal volume is negligible, so the tuning of the box remains nearly unaffected.

Double-Walled HDF Enclosure
The UNRIVALED 21 is built into a heavily braced, double-walled High-Density Fiberboard (HDF) enclosure, providing the rigidity needed to harness and control the power of its driver.

Damping Materials
Wool is an excellent acoustic absorber, with a greater density and absorptive ability over polyfill, and is the material of choice for any sealed enclosures or chambers. For ported enclosures, cabinets are lined with high-quality 1-inch foam, which is a terrific absorber and ensures nothing is projected out of the ports.

Cabinet Anti-Resonance Lining
Each UNRIVALED speaker cabinet is internally lined with an anti-resonance material. This material is made from rubber and aluminum and is adhered to the internal walls of the speaker, effectively adding to the absorption of unwanted vibrations.

Internally Wired with Kimber Kable
As part of the no-compromise pledge with UNRIVALED systems, RBH utilizes Kimber wire with their tried and true braided geometry, which further improves crosstalk rejection and external influences.

Acrylic Polymer Damping Panels
To further the performance of the speaker, as well as cosmetics, side panels made from acrylic polymer solid surface, which has a density similar to granite, can drastically improve the rigidity of the speaker, which substantially reduces cabinet resonance, providing several benefits including reducing smearing, improved imaging, improved soundstage, tightened response, and improved clarity.

DA-2602DSP Amplifier
The included DA-2602DSP is a 2-channel high efficiency Class D amplifier with a 24-bit/96kHz DSP module, pre-programmed to optimize RBH subwoofer performance, with software available to download for onsite DSP customization. Each channel produces 1,300 watts at 8Ω and 2,600 watts at 4Ω, with a bridged output of 2,600 watts at 8Ω; the UNRIVALED 21 is rated for up to 4000 watts via the DA-2602DSP in bridged mode. Output circuitry is Class D with a frequency response of 10Hz–1kHz (±0.5dB) with variable Low & High Pass Filters, THD of ≤0.05% (1/8 RMS, 1kHz), and a damping factor of ≥300. The amplifier provides 30-band parametric EQ, 0 and 180 degree phase control with adjustable delay in software, customizable low pass crossover and slope, XLR inputs (RCA with included adapter) with a balanced input impedance of 20K Ohms, and binding post and SpeakOn outputs. A comprehensive protection suite includes DC protection, under voltage protection, smart overheat management, soft startup protection, output overload protection, and DSP-adjustable input/output limiters, with cooling handled by low noise, variable speed fans venting front to rear. It is housed in a 2U rackmount chassis and ships with rack mount ears and a SpeakOn AC cord.
