Modular Tower Speaker
This modular tower system combines the 821-SF/R speaker with the 1212-MS/R subwoofer to create an incredible reference tower. Combined with a Linear Phase FIR DSP engine and RBH Sound Alpha amplification, it creates top tier performance for a mid tier price. Adopting many of the design features that are in the flagship SVTRS/AX system, the SFTR/AX is an impressive system with minimal footprint. The subwoofer module is purpose built to supplement the dual 8-inch aluminum mid-woofers and reference AMT tweeter in the top module with depth defying, musical bass. The dual 12-inch reference aluminum sub drivers deliver the sonic impact, clarity and low-end extension of a much larger speaker. You will be amazed at this speaker's dominance in both home theater or critical two channel listening.

High Output AMT Tweeter
A 4.72″ x 1″ (120 x 25mm) high dynamic Air Motion Transformer (AMT) tweeter delivers high-output, refined high-frequency reproduction reaching up to 35 kHz.

Classic MTM Array
The top module features dynamic 8″ aluminum mid-woofers in a symmetrical MTM array around the AMT tweeter for improved imaging and reduced vertical reflections. The 8″ drivers are available in Black or Silver aluminum cones, providing timbre matched options for multi-channel sound across all freestanding, bookshelf, on-wall and in-wall products in the SF, SV or SI-Series.

Powerful Musical Bass
Dual 12″ (305mm) cast aluminum basket, aluminum cone subwoofer drivers (silver or black-anodized) in a sealed enclosure deliver tight and musical bass with deep extension.

UNRIVALED Active Crossover System (/AX)
The crème de la crème. Active systems offer unparalleled control and the most advanced FIR linear phase crossover functionality with up to a staggering 108dB/octave crossover filters, a feat that simply isn't possible with a passive system. When you buy an RBH UNRIVALED Active speaker system, you not only get a flagship DSP processor with the best Burr Brown DACs, but you also get state of the art class D amplification via the UNRIVALED RBH Alpha amplifier, configured to match the system of choice. Internal options are available for a cleaner approach; with the same quality amplification built in and the same DSP functionality, there is very little compromise with this approach. The FIR filters allow the system to achieve a ruler flat response as well as provide time alignment not only with the distance of the speaker drivers, but across the frequency spectrum, ensuring all of the sound connects with your eardrums at the same time.

RBH Alpha Amplification
The system is driven by state of the art class D amplification via the UNRIVALED RBH Alpha amplifier, configured to match the system, delivering 250 Watts to the tweeter, 500 Watts to the midrange, and 2000 Watts to the subwoofer. The Alpha amplifier is a high efficiency Class D design, customizable from 2 to 16 channels and 140 to 2000 watts per channel, with a damping factor greater than 1000 (8 Ohms, 1kHz and below) for accurate sound reproduction that handles the most demanding transients. In the SFTR/AX it is supplied as the UNRIVALED Alpha 6x custom six-channel amplifier. Both external (RBH Alpha amps with external FIR DSP processing) and internal (built-in amplification and DSP) configurations are available.

Damping Materials
Wool is an excellent acoustic absorber, with a greater density and absorptive ability over polyfill, and is the material of choice for any sealed enclosures or chambers. For ported enclosures, cabinets are lined with high quality 1 inch foam, which is a terrific absorber and ensures nothing is projected out of the ports.

Cabinet Anti-Resonance Lining
Each UNRIVALED speaker cabinet is internally lined with an anti-resonance material. This material is made from rubber and aluminum and is adhered to the internal walls of the speaker, effectively adding to the absorption of unwanted vibrations.

Internally Wired with Kimber Kable
As part of the no compromise that RBH pledges with UNRIVALED systems, RBH utilizes Kimber wire with their tried and true braided geometry, which further improves crosstalk rejection and external influences.

Acrylic Polymer Damping Panels
To further the performance of the speaker, as well as cosmetics, side panels made from acrylic polymer solid surface, which has a density similar to granite, can drastically improve the rigidity of the speaker, which substantially reduces cabinet resonance, providing several benefits including reducing smearing, improved imaging, improved soundstage, tightened response, and improved clarity.

G.A.D.S. (Patent Pending)
On select, sealed only, speaker systems, RBH’s G.A.D.S. (granular acoustic damping system) technology is employed. Not only does it have mass loading effects, which can further improve the rigidity of the cabinet, it is also an excellent acoustic absorber. The marvel of this technology is that while the granular particulates may occupy a significant amount of space in the enclosure, the impact on the total volume is negligibly affected, therefore the tuning of the box is near unaffected.

Heavily Braced HDF Cabinet & Spiked Outriggers
Constructed of High Density Fiberboard (HDF) with acrylic polymer side panels, the cabinet is finished in Satin Black or Satin White and supported by spiked outriggers for cabinet stability.

Magnetic Grille & Finish Options
A magnetic grille is included, available in white or black fabric. The cabinet is finished in Satin Black or Satin White.
