The AMBEO Soundbar Max delivers a 5.1.4 sound experience with six 4-inch cellulose sandwich cone woofers producing deep, 30Hz bass without the need for an extra subwoofer. Five 1-inch aluminum cone tweeters deliver studio quality sound with exceptional highs. Two 3.5-inch top-firing full-range speakers create height channels for overhead sound effects. Together they create a 3D home audio experience with breathtaking precision and dimension.

AMBEO 3D Technology with Advanced Virtualization
Using the latest virtualization technology developed with Fraunhofer, the AMBEO Soundbar Max merges with the acoustics of your environment to create a 3D sound experience. By capturing the characteristics of your living room and reflective surfaces, the 13 independent drivers and AMBEO technology work as virtual speakers, recreating a surround sound installation and placing you in the center of the action. Three bespoke AMBEO 3D technology modes (Light, Standard, Boost) allow you to adjust the output to your individual tastes.

Advanced Room Calibration
The included calibration microphone and holder enable the AMBEO Soundbar Max to perform advanced room calibration for optimum spatial sound experience. The calibration process captures the characteristics of your living room, analyzing wall positions, ceiling height, and reflective surfaces to adapt the sound output precisely to your space. The system creates virtual speakers tailored to your room's acoustics, ensuring the best possible 3D spatial sound. Calibration can be performed with or without an external subwoofer, with the app allowing you to switch between calibration profiles.

AMBEO|OS and Comprehensive Streaming
AMBEO|OS expands the soundbar's ecosystem with support for AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, and Chromecast built-in. The all-new Smart Control app and web browser interface combine modern design with effortless and responsive control. Stream music wirelessly via Bluetooth 4.2 with AAC codec support, or use NFC for quick pairing. UPnP support enables seamless integration with your home network. The system supports multiple playable audio formats including MP3, AAC, FLAC, ALAC, AIFF, Vorbis, and DSD.

Immersive Audio Format Support
The AMBEO Soundbar Max is compatible with Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and MPEG-H surround formats, delivering studio-grade audio engineered to produce more realistic highs and lows, more dimension, and more details. Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus, DTS-HD Master Audio, and DTS-HD High Resolution Audio are all supported via HDMI eARC. The built-in Upmix Technology can transform stereo or 5.1 audio into a 3D sound experience. Dolby DRC, Dolby Dialog Normalizer, and Dolby Virtualizer options provide additional audio customization.

Comprehensive Connectivity
Equipped with HDMI eARC (HDMI 2.1) output supporting 4K 60Hz passthrough and Dolby Vision, three HDMI 2.0a inputs with HDCP 2.2, optical S/PDIF input supporting up to 192kHz sampling rates, and stereo RCA analog inputs. The HDMI eARC output provides 5V 1A power for connected accessories. Optional subwoofer output (mono RCA, max 2V) allows connection of an external powered subwoofer. USB socket enables firmware updates and 5V 1A power supply for accessories. Ethernet (RJ-45, 100/10 Mbit) and WiFi (IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, 2x2 MIMO) provide network connectivity.

Smart Control and Customization
The Sennheiser Smart Control app provides comprehensive control including 4-band equalizer (Foundation, Low-Mid, Clarity, Brilliance) with +10dB to -10dB adjustment range, five sound profiles (Movie, Music, News, Sports, Neutral), three AMBEO modes, night mode for compressed bass, voice enhancement with four levels, and advanced audio settings for center speaker, side-firing speakers, up-firing speakers, and subwoofer volume adjustments. Display and AMBEO LED brightness can be set to three levels or automatic. Input sources can be renamed with up to 9 characters.

Premium Design and Control
The brushed aluminum exterior and minimalist details deliver style alongside performance. The OLED display with brightness sensor, status LED, and AMBEO LED provide clear visual feedback. The included remote control (SB01-RC) provides infrared control at approximately 8 meters range. Control panel on top of soundbar includes mute, volume, AMBEO, multi-function, Bluetooth pairing, and source buttons. Auto standby activates after 20 minutes of inactivity. ECO standby mode reduces power consumption to 1.9W.
