The BTA1 wirelessly transmits audio from your TV to your Auracast™ headphones, delivering cinema-like sound on your own headphones with personalized, high-quality audio and no lag. Speech Clarity selectively boosts the volume of dialog and enhances its clarity so words are easier to understand, while Virtual Surround Sound puts you right into the action for movies and sports. The transmitter adapts automatically to Dolby Digital or PCM/Stereo formats. When the volume jumps unexpectedly during ads or loud action scenes, Normalize Volume automatically smooths out volume spikes so you don't have to ride the volume control. The Bluetooth LE codecs offer very low latency, so you never get awkward lag between lips and words or actions and sound effects.

Connect to Any TV with Ease
The transmitter offers HDMI, USB, optical, and analog ports, and optical and analog cables as well as a USB cable are included for compatibility with nearly any TV right out of the box. Just plug in the transmitter, pair your Auracast™ headphones, and you're connected. The BTA1 also works with AV receivers, radios, or basically anything with an audio output. The Sennheiser Smart Control Plus app, designed with usability in mind, lets you adjust the Normalize Volume feature and adds encryption for your privacy. The BTA1 is compatible with Auracast™ headphones only.

Let Anyone Listen In with Bluetooth Auracast™
The BTA1 has a special broadcast capability called Bluetooth Auracast™ that lets it broadcast to an unlimited number of Auracast™ headphones — perfect for watching together with a partner, friends, or even a large group. You can also choose to leave the TV loudspeaker on for anyone not wearing headphones. It's like an old-school radio channel, but smarter: with Auracast™ headphones, everyone can choose their own volume and sound settings, and listeners are free to roam, as the transmitter broadcasts high-quality, near-lossless audio within a range of up to 50 meters. The BTA1 broadcasts Auracast™ audio openly with no pairing needed; for privacy, customizable optional password protection keeps your audio secure and exclusive.

Standby and Power Management
The transmitter switches on automatically as soon as it is connected to a power source, such as a switched-on TV. If automatic audio source selection is enabled and no audio signal is received, the transmitter automatically switches to an energy-saving standby mode within 15 minutes, in which all LEDs switch off and all wireless connections are disconnected, reducing power consumption to less than 0.5 W. It wakes from standby as soon as a button is pressed or an audio signal is detected via automatic audio source selection.
