Belt-Drive System
The DP-500BT's belt-drive system isolates motor vibration from the platter, delivering stable rotation and clean, detailed sound that preserves the authentic character of records.

Semi-Automatic Operation
The DP-500BT features semi-automatic operation with an auto tonearm lift and stop function. At the end of a record, the tone arm automatically raises and the platter stops, protecting both the stylus and the record. This function is switchable via the AUTO STOP ON/OFF button on the rear panel. The unit enters standby mode approximately 15 minutes after the platter stops.

Engineered for Stability
A die-cast aluminum platter, vibration-resistant chassis, and balanced S-shaped static-balanced tonearm work together to minimize resonance and deliver stable, high-fidelity playback. The tonearm features an adjustable counterweight for stylus pressure setting and an anti-skating dial. The universal headshell attaches via a lock nut and is user-replaceable. Compatible replacement cartridges must weigh between 5.0–13.0 g (59.2–127.5 mN).

Built-In Switchable Phono Preamp
The DP-500BT includes a built-in switchable phono equalizer, allowing direct connection to amplifiers or powered speakers without a dedicated phono input. The EQUALIZER ON/OFF switch on the rear panel enables or bypasses the built-in preamp accordingly. The built-in phono equalizer is designed for MM cartridges only; when using an MC cartridge, the switch must be set to OFF and a step-up transformer or head amplifier is recommended.

Bluetooth Connectivity
The DP-500BT transmits audio wirelessly via Bluetooth to compatible speakers or headphones, with a typical range of 98.4 ft (30 m) line of sight. Supported codecs are aptX Adaptive, aptX HD, aptX, and SBC. When a connected device supports multiple aptX codecs, the unit automatically connects in the order of aptX Adaptive → aptX HD → aptX. Bluetooth codec status is indicated by the front-panel Bluetooth indicator: solid blue for SBC, solid purple for aptX / aptX HD / aptX Adaptive. The unit can store pairing information for up to eight Bluetooth devices. Audio continues to output from the PHONO OUT terminals simultaneously during Bluetooth playback. Bluetooth volume is adjustable via dedicated +/– buttons on the front panel.

Replacement Stylus
The included stylus is rated for approximately 400 hours of playback. The replacement stylus model number is DSN-85.
