Dual 21 Inch Carbon Fiber Woofers
The 21″ proprietary driver was co-engineered by RBH Sound and Pierce Audio. The groundbreaking, low-distortion design made exclusively for RBH features a sandwiched carbon fiber cone, shorting cap, copper sleeve and custom machine work, with cylindrical stacks of neodymium magnets at the heart of the motor structure. The driver boasts an incredible carbon fiber cone with a 38mm linear xmax, a whopping peak to peak xmech of 100mm, and thermal power handling of 4000 Watts continuous. Pierce Audio, a privately held company, has built precision subwoofer and speaker drivers by hand in the Pacific Northwest since 2004. They innovate and engineer the highest quality and resilient subwoofer and speaker drivers for most any application. Dual long throw 21″ drivers deliver unbelievable low frequency output.

Measured Output
Dual 21-inch carbon fiber cone woofer drivers, a heavily braced locally USA made HDF cabinet, steel outriggers and the patent-pending Granular Acoustic Damping System are what it takes to harness and control the power of the UNRIVALED 221. The result of mating it to the calibrated 4000 watt output DA-2602DSP amplifier is a visceral, seismic, impactful experience that will shake you to your core. Powerful clarity and low-end extension arrive at levels RBH has not attained from any of their subwoofers during their long history, until now. With a CTA 2010 rating of 96.2dB at 10 Hz, the low distortion and high output will astonish with any source media you throw at it. An incredibly linear response throughout the bandwidth delivers accurate reproduction.

G.A.D.S. (patent pending)
On select, sealed only, speaker systems, RBH's new G.A.D.S. (granular acoustic damping system) technology is employed. Not only does it have mass loading effects, which can further improve the rigidity of the cabinet, it is also an excellent acoustic absorber. The marvel of this technology is while the granular particulates may occupy a significant amount of space in the enclosure, the impact on the total volume is negligibly affected, therefore the tuning of the box is near unaffected. Granular Acoustic Damping System offers mass loading benefits to keep the cabinet stable with high powered drivers, while offering acoustic absorption at the lowest of frequencies.

Damping Materials
Wool is an excellent acoustic absorber. It has a greater density and absorptive ability over polyfill. It is the material of choice for any sealed enclosures or chambers. For ported enclosures, cabinets are lined with high quality 1 inch foam which is a terrific absorber and ensures nothing is projected out of the ports.

R.A.D. Technology (Rubberized Aluminum Dampener)
Each UNRIVALED speaker cabinet is internally lined with an anti-resonance material. This material is made from rubber and aluminum and is adhered to the internal walls of the speaker. Effectively, it adds to the absorption of unwanted vibrations.

Internally Wired with Kimber Kable
As part of the no compromise that RBH pledges with UNRIVALED systems, Kimber wire is utilized with their tried and true braided geometry which further improves crosstalk rejection and external influences.

R.D.A.P. (Resonance Damping Acrylic Polymer)
To further the performance of the speaker (as well as cosmetics), side panels made from acrylic polymer solid surface, which has a density similar to granite, can drastically improve the rigidity of the speaker, which substantially reduces cabinet resonance providing several benefits including: reducing smearing, improved imaging, improved soundstage, tightened response, and improved clarity.

The UNRIVALED 221 is powered by single or dual DA-2602DSP amplifiers, delivering a performance that is felt and heard — 2200 Watts per channel with a single RBH DA-2602DSP in 2-channel mode, or 4000 Watts x2 with two amplifiers in bridged mono. RBH DA Subwoofer Amplifiers provide the power needed for deep accurate bass, whether powering a subwoofer in a home theater room or a dedicated music listening environment, and make it easy to add deep, clean, and powerful bass to any audio system when mated with a passive subwoofer or biampable tower speaker. They incorporate parametric EQ and shelving filters that allow you to custom-tune the bass in your room for the very best performance, and the robust power supply and Class D output stages provide enough power to drive the most demanding subwoofers, with optimized presets for all RBH in-wall and freestanding subwoofer products.

Cabinet, Grille & Outriggers
The subwoofer is built into a double layer, internally braced heavy-duty High Density Fiberboard (HDF) cabinet, individually hand assembled and tested, cabinet made in USA of High Density Fiberboard (HDF). It is supported by premium steel outriggers, and a magnetic beauty-baffle and fabric grille are included.
