Dual 21″ Sandwiched Carbon Fiber Cone Drivers
The 21″ proprietary driver was co-engineered by RBH Sound and Pierce Audio. This groundbreaking, low-distortion design, made exclusively for RBH, features a sandwiched carbon fiber cone, shorting cap, copper sleeve, and custom machine work, with two long-throw 21″ drivers delivering unbelievable low-frequency output. Pierce Audio, a privately held company, has built precision subwoofer and speaker drivers by hand in the Pacific Northwest since 2004, innovating and engineering high-quality, resilient subwoofer and speaker drivers for most any application.

Powered by DA-2602DSP Amplification
Powered by single or dual DA-2602DSP amplifiers, delivering up to 4000 watts each, the UNRIVALED 221 delivers a performance that is felt and heard. The DA-2602DSP is a high efficiency Class D amplifier with a 2-channel 24bit/96kHz DSP module, pre-programmed to optimize RBH subwoofer performance, with software available to download to customize the DSP onsite. It incorporates a 30-band parametric equalizer (PEQ), variable low and high pass filters, customizable crossover and slope, and 0/180 degree phase control with adjustable delay. The amplifier accepts XLR inputs (RCA with included adapter) and provides binding post and SpeakOn outputs, with comprehensive protection including DC protection, under-voltage protection, smart overheat management, soft startup protection, output overload protection, and input/output limiters. Cooling is handled by low-noise, variable-speed fans venting front to rear, and the unit comes with rack mount ears and a SpeakOn AC cord.

G.A.D.S. Technology
On select, sealed-only speaker systems, RBH’s patent-pending G.A.D.S. (Granular Acoustic Damping System) technology is employed. Not only does it have mass-loading effects, which can further improve the rigidity of the cabinet, it is also an excellent acoustic absorber. The marvel of this technology is that while the granular particulates may occupy a significant amount of space in the enclosure, the impact on the total volume is negligibly affected, therefore the tuning of the box is near unaffected. In the UNRIVALED 221 it keeps the cabinet stable with high-powered drivers while offering acoustic absorption at the lowest of frequencies.

Double-Walled HDF Enclosure
The UNRIVALED 221 is built into a double-walled, heavily braced High-Density Fiberboard (HDF) enclosure with double-thick walls, providing the rigidity needed to harness and control the power of its dual drivers.

Damping Materials
Wool is an excellent acoustic absorber, with a greater density and absorptive ability over polyfill, and is the material of choice for any sealed enclosures or chambers. For ported enclosures, cabinets are lined with high-quality 1-inch foam, which is a terrific absorber and ensures nothing is projected out of the ports.

Cabinet Anti-Resonance Lining
Each UNRIVALED speaker cabinet is internally lined with an anti-resonance material. This material is made from rubber and aluminum and is adhered to the internal walls of the speaker, effectively adding to the absorption of unwanted vibrations.

Internally Wired with Kimber Kable
As part of the no-compromise pledge with UNRIVALED systems, RBH utilizes Kimber wire with their tried and true braided geometry, which further improves crosstalk rejection and external influences.

Acrylic Polymer Damping Panels
To further the performance of the speaker, as well as cosmetics, side panels made from acrylic polymer solid surface, which has a density similar to granite, can drastically improve the rigidity of the speaker, which substantially reduces cabinet resonance, providing several benefits including reducing smearing, improved imaging, improved soundstage, tightened response, and improved clarity.
